The Multiplier event took place on 25th April 2017, at Burgas Free University (BFU). A total of one hundred and twenty seven teachers and directors from high schools in the Regions of Burgas, Sliven and Yambol took part in it. The project participants from BFU and “G.S.Rakovski” Romance Languages Secondary School introduced the audience to the PEAK Project and carried out various activities for disseminating the projects outputs.
The meeting was opened by Professor Dr. Sc. Galya Hristozova, Rector of BFU who welcomed the participants. Professor Milen Baltov, Vice-Rector of BFU and project coordinator presented the project in details. He introduced the project partners and outlined the project aims and activities, as well as the achievements so far.
Yordanka Nikolova from BFU presented the first intellectual output of BFU for this project, namely the Guidebook developed for the purposes of training project participants to develop expertise for designing electronic-based teaching materials using the Moodle Learning Management System and developing skills for using innovative teaching approaches and techniques. Associate Professor Veselina Jecheva introduced the participants to the training course developed in Moodle, for the purposes of this project which was the second intellectual output of BFU. This course and the Guidebook are intended to support the professional network of teachers designed and established under this PEAK project.
Gergana Kirova and Nikolay Nikolov acquainted the audience with the use of the innovative teaching approaches of “Blended Learning” and the “Flipped Classroom”, and also demonstrated for the participants the internet-based leaning applications “Quizziz”, “Kahoot”, “LearningApps” and “Hot Potatoes”.
